Another busy week has gone by and phew.. ES presentation and report are over!!! YEAH!!!!

Although i didnt have much time to prepare for the presentation becos of relief teaching on sun, everything went smooth and well. Congrats team! (:

Anyway, talking abt relief teaching part. I only 1 word to describe - Tiring! (p.s. especially teaching the P6 classes.)

But the p6 students are hyperactive and very noisy!! Maybe its becos i'm reliefing so they wan to bully me. *opps*

One of the p6 ger very cute and funny. When she came into my class, she sat beside me (anyway the room isnt as big and the class size was big).

ger: Teacher.. can i ask u one qns?
me: Yes.
ger: Teacher.. how old are u?
me *stunt* U guess?
ger: u just graduated?
me: around there.

Then.. the conversation carries on..

ger: Teacher, u study in which uni?
me: *stunt again* U guess?
ger: NTU?
me: no
ger: NUS?
me: yup.
ger: which major u study?
me: lifesciences
ger: wat is lifesciences?
me: *stunt again.. how shld i explain..* Hmm.. we study abt cell and DNA..??!!
ger: WAH!!! so interesting!!! I also wan to study that!!!

And then...

ger: Teacher, wat's ur name?
me: *secretly think that i shldnt reveal my name becos the whole class will take it as a joke* Hmm.. Just call me Ms Liang.
ger: oh.. ok.
ger: *start to stare at me*
ger: Teacher.. your necklace very nice!
me: *stunt* thanks (:

And when the class gets too noisy and one of the boys was very naughty (lets call him boy1)..

same ger: Teacher, i tell u ah.. just now boy1 told us that he want to bully the new teacher!
me: *stunt*
same ger shouting to boy1: Hey!! dun bully the new teacher!! If not nxt week i tell Mr A (original teacher of the class).
me: *wah.. she's so helpful* Haha..

But the class was really difficult to control, esp the p6 boys.. they are very hyperactive! When its time to play games.. u can see how ENTHU they are.

The boys will rush to the front of the class, standing in front of me, waving their hands in front of me, jump here and there, shouting all the different alphabets they can think of for the hangman. haha.. wat a sight.

For the other p6 class, instead of rushing to me, they sit on the table raising their hands frantically, afraid that i cant see them. Haha.. and the gers are always the well behaved ones... sat at their seat and raise hand.

But it was all very fun, other than the naughty boys which i keep shouting and threatening to take away their stars or tell their misbehavior to the other teacher. But after some time, it wasnt useful. and I realise that something is more useful - suddenly keep quiet, call the name, and stare at one of them - can conserve my energy and when he will realise that i'm staring at him, he keep quiet.

Sec sch classes are a hell lot diff from pri sch class. u muz be nice to them so that they will talk. if not u will expect a non-responsive class.

Haha.. think i'm too enthu until i realise that this blog post is too long. But i still got so much that i want to say! Anyway.. do hw first. haha!

Went to Biobiz today with Qin and Jiayin and saw a few life sciences peeps there..

Wat can i say abt the event? It's really successful! So many people signed up for it and it'a surprising that there's quite a number of working population that joined this event too (other than the NUS and NTU people).

I thought that the networking session was really good as u can ask the pharmaceutical 'giants' directly abt the career opportunities and job offerings that they have. In total, there were abt 8 pharmaceutical company booths with my fav GSK there! *Wee*

But when we were asking for internship opportunities, most of the companies told us to go thru NUS instead of applying individually. OMG.. If my school really have internship program, we dun have to look for one ourselves already. (-.-)"

Alrights, going to 8.30pm soon. EARTH HOUR.

But i got a lot of things to do!! So many things are piling up on my table and i've yet to do it. ES occupies so much of my time. Eeks!

Coming mon is the ES presentation and i've yet to look at my script thoroughly!

And i haven even have the time to edit the ES CA2 or type out my nxt blog post on Biodata.

I haven look at the Nation Building tutorial, not mentioning abt the readings.

And Nation Building CA2 is coming and i pray to get a B so that i'm safe to S/U and i can forget abt studying hard for exam. Haha..

I've yet to look at the secondary school test paper qns and the ans. Hope the students dun ask a lot of *intellectual* qns tmr. (by e way, i'm relieving another teacher in a tuition center for the whole day tmr).

Not prepared to bump into someone today. All the feeling come back out of a sudden. I was stunned and not sure how should to react. Stupid me!

Relunctant to look at SSA tutorial and Forest Eco report.

Stupid mosquito suck soo much of my blood and become so fat that it cant fly properly. Sorry that i managed to kill it.

I wan to live happily, or even happier. But when things get too smooth, happiness might jus plunge down one day.

I also hate finding prof. I emailed one prof and she asked me if i have other projects/profs lined up. i.e. Am i "shopping" for project still. What a nice word to use. Shopping. U think i buy clothes ah. Although i like shopping a lot.

Seriously, i'm spending too much money to make myself happy.

Jus feel like crapping..

Thurs

Went to watch "Departure" with jiayin, qiyuan and jialin. I thought that it was a really touching movie and reminds you of the funerals that u have attended. But, i suggest watching this movie at home because u can cry all you wan. haha...

Fri

Went for 1 lecture which only lasted for half an hour becos the guest lecturer was rushing off for an appointment. After that, qin, jia and me went to the IT fair and we got the things that we wanted (:

I shall wait for my fav gold colour Canon Ixus 870IS price to drop!

Talking about gold colour, i saw a lady at suntec, bringing the gold colour coach wristlet that i wanted badly previously!

After IT fair, we had our dinner in Carl's Jr. And yes jia, i shall put our self-made lemon tea photo here!

So, the M3 meet up with the other M1 to yuan's house for mahjonging session again..

Oh dear.. feel like we are turning into auntie already.. haha!!!

Just came back from MacRitchie field trip for Forest Ecology module and yeah.. I'm home very early!! (:

I was bitten by mosquito today and i assume that my mosquito repellant is not working because it has expired.. And i realise that doing field work isn't really fun if u are afraid of insects.

And when i was spraying the insect repellant that was provided by the TAs, i didnt realised that one of the indian TA was standing behind me!! So i accidentally sprayed into her eyes!! *omg* luckily she washed her eyes with water later.

and OMG.. we really went into the forest and measure tree diameter and collect leaves. I already think that its quite difficult to find your way through.. avoiding spider webs here and there, climbing over fallen tree trunks... stepping on the soft soil.. I was really glad that it didnt rain today! *phew*

Ok.. so when we were measuring the tree diameter, suddenly we heard a loud "pomp" sound!!

Immediately, we turn around to see a fallen tree and the macaques were screaming and running about!!

So scary to work in the forest! becos u nv know when the tree will fell on u (o.O)"

And one of us found a skull of a macaque in the forest:

Alrights, the friend who saw this was quite stun when he found the skull. But the prof was really excited when he saw this! (-.-)"

Hwa Chong is also having their cross country today in MacRitchie. This reminds me of NYJC cross country a few years back in MacRitchie too. I still remember that my fren and i walk and talk thru the whole journey and surprisingly we were not the last to reach the finishing line! haha.. and the funnier thing is the teacher at the finishing line was cheering us up to quickly finish our race when apparently he didnt notice that we have been walking all along.. opps =x

Finally.. i went to The Battle Box yesterday with Qin and Choo. Poor Jia was not free to join us ):

And it rained at a 'great' timing in Fort Canning Park when there's not much sheltered walkway. Shld have brought an umbrella. 3 person sharing one umbrella can be quite a scene. Hahaha.

When we stepped into The Battle Box, suddenly there's someone shouting and i sort of exclaimed with shock! haha.. it was actually the sound effect (-.-)" Nvm, dear ah choo also had the same reaction. haha..

After The Battle Box, we went to have dinner and played Mahjong in my house! Haha.. it was hilarious when we dunno how to play '三缺一' and both of them were frantically calling their shi-fu to ask them how to play. ok.. end up my daddy joined us playing. (:

I can still vividly remember sth funny when we were playing halfway. I was asking my daddy if he had eaten and he answer me, saying that "sian choo haven put any card how can i eat?" OMGGGG.. *burst out laughing* I mean whether he had eaten his dinner.. not eat the mahjong card. HAHAHA..

Organise more activities!

Omg.. I loved the movie "He's just not that into you". It was really a great movie that touched me and its really worth watching. The moral of the story was that you must love yourself (:

And Galileo is coming out with a new movie! I was so surprised when i saw the ad on tv. And i jus knew that my fav author's book will be coming out in movie too!!! SHOPAHOLICS RULES!!!! Hope the movie will be as good as the book (:

Finally, i'm catching a breather after the horrendous infectious disease test! (although i've already catched a lot of breather when studying the test during mid term break) *opps*

I just realised that the lifts at my block are installed with CCTV cameras!! Great! Nxt time anybody made the lift dirty should catch and fine them! Wahaha. We shall see if the lifts get dirty again.

Seiously, i really want to do a honours project with "ah ma" from pharmaco dept and other than her, i'm not sure who to look for in that dept liao. When i went back to IBN the other day to collect my cert, and i was telling my mentor about fyp with "ah ma", she said that she had looked for her for her phd too! omg.. wat a coincidence! We looked for the same prof but the disappointment was that she's retiring after this sem. *sobs* Heard from my ex-supervisor that her husband was a very 'hip' prof too. opps. I really love her research area but i heard from my mentor that nobody is taking over her too. Sad...

Lets continue searching for profs!
